TODAY

  1. We are celebrating International Day of Prayer today. This special service is being led out by your local Women's Ministries team.
  2. Afternoon Bible Study resumes today with quarterly lesson no. 11 "More Lessons in Discipleship." The moderator will be Ellen Williams.
  3. Easter Play Rehearsal from 4-6 pm today. All cast members are asked to attend.
  4. The 2nd annual March of the Penguins tonight at 7 pm at RRVJA (56 Grey St.). Please join us for a fun evening of musical marching and games.  The admission is $2 per person, and canteen refreshments will be for sale.  If possible, please wear black and white.  Please support the Orion Pathfinders in this "fun"draising event.

  1. Connections Contemporary Worship Service, Sabbath mornings at 10:45 am in Centennial Hall.
  2. Bible Marking Series at 7 pm on Tuesday evenings in Centennial Hall.
  3. Volleyball at 7 pm on Tuesday evenings at RRVJA (56 Grey St.) Open to everyone grade 9 and up.
  4. 1440 Youth Group Thursday evenings at 7 pm in the Youth room.
  5. “Epic” Small Group with Pastor Dave on Friday evenings. Contact Pastor Dave for more information.

UPCOMING EVENTS

  1. Baby Shower to welcome Dave and Maria (Cole) Morrison’s new baby girl tomorrow, Sunday, March 9 from 1-3 pm at Mountain Andrews. Finger foods appreciated. For info. call Daphne (224-3339) or Ruth (586-3824).
  2. Annual Easter Drama on Good Friday, March 21 at 7:30 pm. This year's play is entitled "24 Hours that Changed the World." Bring a friend and come witness this dramatic re-enactment of Jesus' death and resurrection.
  3. Important Church Business Meeting on Saturday evening, March 22 at 7:30 pm in Centennial Hall. We have received the report back from the architect regarding the elevator. There is one item that needs to be addressed which requires us to make a change to our original plan. Plan to attend this vital meeting.
  4. African Association of Adventist Communities in Canada (AAACC) is having its annual big Sabbath at CanadianUniversityCollege in Lacombe, Alberta on March 29. We invite you to join us for a spirit filled day. SabbathSchool starts at 9 am followed by a hodgepodge of activities including uplifting music.   5. It's time for CHIP!  The 8th Coronary Health Improvement Project will be starting on April 6 through to May 8, 2008. CHIP is a 5-week health education program that educates in regard to diet, nutrition, and lifestyle.  If you want to prevent or reverse heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, and over weight then CHIP is for you.  Learn all the Adventist health principles, and learn how and why to cook plant-based meals.  The CHIP program and information sessions will take place at the Seven Oaks Wellness Institute (1075 Leila Ave. at McPhillips St.).  Please join us for one of the free information sessions:  March 17, 18, 20, 25, 27, 31, April 1, or 2. Please see the poster in the foyer and pick up a brochure for more details.  Also, invite your family and friends.  Let's take charge of our health!

  2. A Basketball Team consisting of Grade 4-6 students will be playing an exhibition game against The King's ChristianSchool at RRVJA this Wednesday, March 12 at 4 pm and again on Thursday at The King's School (851 Panet Road) at 4 pm.  We invite you to come out and support our team.
  3. Ski Trip - grades 7-10 are planning a ski trip to HolidayMountain on Thursday, March 20.  If you are interested in joining us or providing transportation please contact the school at 667-2383.
